Israeli ministers welcome withdrawal in April
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 2/14/2000
Most members of the current Israeli government expressed their support for withdrawing from south Lebanon in April.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv said that 12 ministers agreed on the withdrawal in a referendum made by Maariv, saying that the stumbling in negotiations on the Syrian and Lebanese tracks must not stop the withdrawal plans from south Lebanon, otherwise the status will turn on the Israeli Army, especially as the attacks by Hizbullah depend on guerilla warfare, which Israel never used.
Maariv added that seven ministers, among whom is Prime Minister Ehud Barak, expressed their approval on withdrawing in July in the framework of an agreement that guarantees Israel's security.
