King sends message to Malaysian premier

King Mohammed VI has sent a message to prime minister of Malaysia, Mohamed Mahatir.
The message was handed over to the Malaysian premier by Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation who is currently taking part in Bangkok in the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD X).
Benaissa informed the Malaysian prime minister that Morocco had been closely following the financial and economic crisis that shook Malaysia recently and appreciates the "judicious and peremptory" way Malaysia handled the crisis and succeeded in overcoming it, a statement by the Moroccan foreign department said.
The Moroccan-Malaysian meeting --held Saturday-- stressed the need to give new momentum to bilateral relations and to bolster the exchange of visits.
Mohamed Mahatir announced in this regard that he would shortly dispatch a delegation to Morocco to explore cooperation opportunities between the two countries. He also stressed the need for the two countries to enhance their cooperation at the bilateral level and at the level of regional and international fora.
