Second Arab Song Festival In Casablanca

The second Arab song festival was held in Casablanca February 9-12 with the participation of a score of singers, song writers and composers from Algeria, Bahrain, Iraq, Libya, Palestine, Qatar, and Sudan.
The festival--sponsored by the union of Moroccan singers-- paid tribute to Tunisian and Moroccan singers Ahmed Hamza and Brahim Alami.
The first festival grand prize had been won by Moroccan Fadwa Malki for a song written by Saudi diplomat and poet Abdelaziz Mohieddine Khouja and composed by Moroccan Saad Chraibi.
