Canadian - Egyptian discussions to push forward the peace efforts in Sudan

Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Ibrahim Hassan met with the special Canadian envoy for Sudan's affairs, who is currently visiting Cairo following her visit to Nairobi and Khartoum. Ibrahim Hassan told ArabicNews.com that he discussed with the Canadian envoy developments toward achieving a comprehensive political settlement in Sudan and the efforts exerted to convene a conference for Sudanese reconciliation as well as the goals of the Egyptian - Libyan initiative, which is addressed to all parts of the problem, the government and opposition.
