Establishing a national council for Egyptian women

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak issued yesterday a republican decision to establish a national council for women, affiliated to the republic's presidency, which includes 30 public personalities that are experienced in women's affairs and the social activity.
The council will be specified to suggest the general policy for the society and the constitutional corporations in the field of developing Egyptian women's affairs-- whether economic, social or cultural-- through a comprehensive plan for Egyptian women's advancement and for solving the problems confronting them.
The council will also represent Egypt in all the international organizations concerned with women's affairs, and it will be comprised of 11 committees.
