Tunisian song festival at end of February

The Tunisian Ministry of Culture will organize the 12th session of the Tunisian song festival under the auspices of Abd El-Baki El-Hermasi starting on February 24 and lasting for two days in which more than 100 singers will participate in two competitions.
The first contest is for songs especially prepared for the festival with a prize of 9,000 Tunisian dinars and the second is specified for songs that were broadcast during 1999 with a prize of 6,000 dinars.
The prizes will be shared by the singer, composer and lyricist as well as nominating the winning songs to participate in Arab and international festivals. Also contracts may be offered to new talented people by production companies.
