Moroccan, Spanish firms sign cooperation accord

Moroccan electricity company (ONE/state-owned) and Spanish industrial group FENOSA, concluded Wednesday a cooperation accord in matters of electricity production, transport and distribution.
The accord covers technical aspects, renewable energies, rural electrification, environment protection, training and others.
FENOSA is one of the largest groups in Spain. It is active in electricity production, transport and distribution, telecommunications and industry.
Morocco's electricity imports from Spain totaled 1.8 billion kilowatts in 1999, covering 13.5 % of the country's demand that stands at 13.26 billion KWH.
