Morocco, Indonesia to sign non-double taxation accord

Morocco and Indonesia are to sign shortly an accord on non-double taxation and tax evasion, a statement by the Moroccan foreign department said.
The accord will be initialed in Bangkok, Thailand, by Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Mohamed Benaissa and his Indonesian peer, Alwi Chihab.
The two men will be attending in Bangkok the UNCTAD X conference held February 12 through 19.
An accord on non-double taxation on income was initialed in Jakarta in 1997, and the two countries had set the same year a Moroccan-Indonesian business council in a bid to foster investments and joint ventures.
The federation of Moroccan chambers of commerce and industry and Indonesia's chamber of commerce and industry are equally bound by a cooperation accord.
