Egypt, Politics, 2/10/2000

Pope Shenouda III, Patriarch of Saint Mark's Diocese, stressed again Egyptian Church's keenness on strengthening Egyptian national fabric which survived lots of obstacles down through the ages.

Pope Shenouda added that Al-Kosheh incident should not affect the long-standing relations between Muslims and Christians with their continuous endeavors to keep intact their national unity against any detractor.

He referred to the fact that differences can only be settled through dialogue and understanding.
