Turkish Kurdish Workers Party declares stop of armed struggle against Ankara

The Turkish separatist Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) said that its public conference assured the end of 15 years of armed struggle against Ankara and the party's organization was reformed to reflect this trend.
The party's statement yesterday said that there is a peace plan with seven points in moving from the military struggle to the political struggle.
The party said in August 1999 that its would obey the order issued by its leader, Abdullah Ocalan, to stop the armed struggle and withdraw the armed elements from Turkey.
