Important Moroccan-Turkish economic meeting in coming three months
Morocco-Turkey, Economics, 2/10/2000

Moroccan and Turkish economic operators are to hold an important encounter in the coming three months, and the upcoming session of the high joint commission will examine cooperation in various economic sectors between Morocco and Turkey.

The announcement was made by Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, in a statement to the Moroccan TV channel "TVM."

Benaissa said relations between the two countries are "excellent and distinguished" and the ongoing visit by Turkish Foreign Minister Ismael Cem is an opportunity to look into some issues.

He added that the two countries, which are bound by long-standing relations, are determined to deepen economic, trade and scientific cooperation and intensify the exchange of visits.

The Turkish foreign minister was received on Tuesday by King Mohammed VI and signed with Benaissa an agreement for the consolidation of diplomatic relations.
