Arab Parliamentary Union to discuss common Arab market, Jerusalem and peace

An official Algerian parliamentary source has announced that all Arab parliaments' members at the Arab parliamentary council had announced their initial consent to take part in the meetings of the 35th session of the 9th conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union due to be held in Algiers on February 19 through 22.

The source added that the number of members of the parliamentary delegations may reach 400. He stated that the agenda of this session will include discussions of several pivotal Arab issues. These include the united Arab parliament, the common Arab market, inter-Arab relations and the role played by Arab parliaments in fighting terrorism, the question of occupied Jerusalem and the Middle East peace process.

Syria presides over the current session of the Arab Parliamentary Union.
