King Mohammed meets with Turkish foreign minister

King Mohammed VI of Morocco met yesterday with Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem, who delivered him a message from Turkish President Suleiman Demirel.
The Turkish sources said Cem's visit to Morocco aims at starting a new era in Turkish - Morocco relations.
Moroccan Foreign Minister Mohamed Benaissa said the joint committee between the two countries will be convened soon, that he discussed with his Turkish counterpart the economic, commercial and scientific cooperation and that businessmen will also convene with one another.
The Turkish foreign minister said his country is following up on the reforms made by the Moroccan monarch.
The meeting between King Mohammed and the Turkish foreign minister is considered a new openness in the Moroccan foreign policy.
