Establishing a free zone for technology and information in Dubai

Dubai's government issued a new law yesterday establishing a free zone for technology, information and electronic trade to design, develop, use and maintain data technology, communications, information services and electronic trade in addition to presenting Internet services, commercial and advertisement, assembling, covering, importing, exporting and storing products.
The free zone also aims at making Dubai a center for technology, electronic trade, and information, protecting intellectual ownership and combating crime related to the electronics trade.
This law furthers competition for establishing a free zones for information and technology among Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain and Israel.
