Defense cooperation between Bahrain, Jordan

Bahrain's Gulf News Agency has reported that the governments of Bahrain and Jordan signed a protocol on Tuesday in Manama on cooperation in the defense area on the sidelines of the visit made by Jordan's King Abdullah II to Manama.
The protocol which calls for maintaining cooperation in the "areas of training and the exchange of expertise" was signed by the Bahraini army's chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salman al-Khaleifa, and his Jordanian counterpart, Lt. Gen. Muhammad al-Malkawi.
The Jordanian king arrived on Monday in Manama in a visit to last for two days, which is the king's first leg in a Gulf tour.
