Syria to help Lebanon repair power stations destroyed by Israel
Lebanon-Syria, Economics, 2/9/2000

Syrian Minister of Electricity Munib Saed al-Daher on Tuesday inspected the damage that resulted from the Israeli aggression on Jamhour power station in Beirut.

The Syrian minister told reporters that Syria and Lebanon are not concerned with the messages sent by Israel because they are two civilized countries.

The Syrian minister added that the Israeli acts are a sign of cowardice and not power and that the entire world is looking at the Israeli acts with disgust. He added that what was destroyed will be rebuilt by the one people in Syria and Lebanon and expressed Syria's readiness to contribute to repairing the electrical installations destroyed by the Israeli aggressions.
