El-Bashir to head to Qatar

Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir will head to Qatar at end of the current month.
Qatari sources expected the talks between President El-Bashir and Sheikh Hamad Bin Kalifa Al-Thani of Qatar to include supporting bilateral relations and the situation Sudan, as well as causes of joint concern.
Qatar has good relations with Sudan, and it leads the reconciliation between Sudan and Eritrea.
Sheikh Hamad visited Khartoum in an attempt to solve the crisis between El-Bashir and Hassan Turabi, the secretary general of the ruling National Congress Party.
Sheikh Hamad said his mediation was according to Turabi's demand, but the Qatari move stumbled due to Turabi's refusal of a comprise formula.
