Israel starts major military campaign in south Lebanon

Israel said that its army started today a wide military operation in Lebanon after the Lebanese resistance's escalation in south Lebanon lately.

A statement by the Israeli Army today said that Israeli jet fighters attacked three electric stations and a building for the resistance leadership in Baalbek city in eastern Lebanon.

The statement threatened wide Israeli revenge if the Lebanese resistance attacked the Israeli lands.

On their side, the Lebanese security sources said that Israeli aircraft shelled electric stations near the cities of Beirut, Baalbek and Tripoli and that the shelling of Baalbek's electric station started the fire in it while 18 civilians were injured and that electricity was disconnected in a big area of Beirut and its eastern districts due to shelling of the electric station near the city.
