17 African countries in Morocco for farming quality management training

Some thirty agronomists from 17 African countries are attending in Agadir (southwestern Morocco) a training session on the improvement of quality management of vegetables and fruits.
The session, held this Feb.7-21, is sponsored by the Arab Bank for African Economic Development and the Moroccan Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (IAV).
Trainees are attending theoretical and lab courses. They will also visit fruits and vegetables farms, conditioning plants, packaging material factories, quality-control institutions and ports facilities in the region. (MAP)SH
