Morocco's king sends message to Ukrainian president

King Mohammed VI has sent a message to President Leonid Kuchma of Ukraine, it was officially announced in Rabat.
The message-- whose contents were not disclosed-- was conveyed Monday by the secretary of state for foreign affairs, Taieb Fassi Fihri, to presidential diplomatic advisor, A. K. Oriol.
The Moroccan official who also met with Foreign Minister Boris Tarasyuk and the vice-minister, Alexandre Maldannik, renewed on the occasion the Moroccan king's congratulations to President Kuchma for his reelection and for the trust enjoyed by Ukraine within the international community, as evidenced by its election as non-permanent member at the U.N. Security Council, a statement by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said.
The two sides voiced appreciation for the quality of the two countries' political relations and their converging standpoints on issues of mutual concern.
Talks also covered means of upgrading bilateral cooperation and identified a number of priority actions, the statement said.
