Jordanian king voices backing to Syria and Lebanon
Jordan, Politics, 2/8/2000
Jordan's King Abdullah II has asserted that Jordan will continue its support to "our brothers" in Syria and Lebanon in order to restore their rights and occupied lands and to establish the basis for a comprehensive peace built on justice and equality.
In a speech he made on Monday in Amman on the occasion of the anniversary of assuming his constitutional authority, King Abdullah stressed Jordan's backing for the Palestinian people in order to regain their rights and establish their own independent state on their own native soil with Jerusalem as a capital.
