Moroccan runner third in 1,000 m in Stuttgart meeting

Moroccan runner Mahjoub Hida wrestled bronze sunday in the 1,000 meter race in Stuttgart Meeting covering the distance in 2' 22''30/100.
Gold went to Kenyan-born Dane Wilson Kipketer who broke the world record held by Algerian Noureddine Morceli since 1992 running the distance in 2' 15'' 25/100, one hundredth of a second better than his predecessor.
