Cephalopod fishing stoppage to last through April
Morocco, Economics, 2/7/2000
The decision made in January to stop all cephalopod fishing activity spans three months from Feb. 1st through April 30, says a release of the maritime fisheries department. The department said the slump in prices was behind the move which will also help cephalopod stocks to replenish and protect bio-diversity. The decision was jointly taken with cephalopod industry in Dakhla and most of high-sea fleet-owners.
