European parliament president visits Morocco

The European Parliament President Nicole Fontaine is starting today a three-day visit to Morocco at the invitation of the speaker of the House of Representatives Abdelouahed Radi.
Fontaine will be meeting Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi, speakers of the two parliamentary chambers as well as cabinet members. She will be visiting a women's alphabetization center in Rabat and a re-housing project partially funded by the European Union to accommodate former shantytown dwellers in Sale (near Rabat).
Topics in the agenda include enhancement of bilateral cooperation and strengthening of Euro-Mediterranean dialog, especially in its civil society and human rights aspects.
