Developing Cairo International Airport

The Arab Contracting Company, an Egyptian contracting company, is to develop Cairo International Airport on Monday as the airport will witness a real development in the arrival and departure halls and transit at a cost of LE 40 million, Transportation Minister Ibrahim El-Demairi said in a press conference held yesterday evening.
The minister added that the development revenues are estimated at a billion pounds annually as the development plan includes a free cargo zone to be hired to the private sector, a special passage for cargo, storage refrigerators and projects covering 1,500 feddans which is the airport's area.
Also, an area of 50 feddans were specified for establishing a project for open tourism activities that include golf yards, commercial centers, and celebration and convention halls.
