Releasing the Kenyan tea exports in Egypt
Egypt-Kenya, Economics, 2/4/2000
The Egyptian Economy Ministry decided to allow Kenyan tea imports after the return of customs exemptions on the Egyptian exports to Kenya, especially on Egyptian rice upon which the Kenyan government imposed during the past three months 51% customs fees.
A statement issued by the Egyptian ministry said that this procedure comes within Cairo's adherence to strong relations with the COMESA countries and that all the Egyptian importers were informed about this decision.
