First auto racetrack in Egypt

The Arc company for tourism and sports will start implementing the first racetrack for international auto races in Egypt with investments that reach $80 million.
The race track will built on the Alexandria - Cairo highway on 2,025 million square meters, to be implemented in August while the actual races will start at the beginning of December, 2002.
Egyptian, French and German companies will build the racetrack, which will accommodate 120,000 spectators in addition to the maintenance centers, a media center, a press convention hall, a tourism hotel, a commercial center and a specialized industrial zone.
