Marzouk gives up armed struggle

The Algerian daily Sawt al-Ahrar said on Wednesday that commander of the Islamic Salvation Army, Madani Marzouk, has dissolved his armed organization and returned to his house in Jijel.
The paper added that Marzouk returned home accompanied by several of his aides, under the conditions of the general pardon released by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
Meanwhile, the Algerian daily al-Bilad said that the number of the Islamic Salvation Army members who benefited from the comprehensive pardon reached 150.
