Francophone countries support Mubarak's efforts on peace, disarmament

The political bureau of Francophone Parliament has expressed its support for President Mubarak's efforts to achieve just and permanent peace in the Middle East.
In conclusion of its Quebec meetings, the office lauded Mubarak's initiative calling for eliminating weapons of mass destruction since they pose a threat to the security of the whole region.
Abdel Ahad Gamal El-Din, Head of Arab Affairs Committee of the People's Assembly, participated in the meetings.
He said that peace is the real key to security in the region, and stressed the importance of implementing agreements between Israel and the Palestinians. He also expressed optimism over the Syrian peace negotiations with Israel.
