Masalha and peace on the Syrian track
Syria-Israel, Politics, 2/1/2000
Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Nawaf Masalha told a correspondent from the Israeli Radio in Davos on Monday that he is optimistic despite the stumbled negotiations between Syria and Israel that during this year peace will be achieved between the two countries.
He added that Syria and Lebanon will take part in the multilateral talks in the coming rounds and that other countries in the region will also participate as soon as a peace agreement is reached between Israel and Syria.
He continued that Egypt's participation in the multilateral negotiations in Moscow is an encouraging matter and an incentive for others.
