Italian, German officials to visit Jordan

It was announced in Amman on Monday that the Italian prime minister will visit Jordan by the end of February for three days in the course of his tour of several countries in the region.
During his visit, the Italian prime minister will meet with high-ranking Jordanian officials to discuss cooperation relations between the two countries and means of strengthening them in various areas, especially in the economic field, as well as discussions on the Middle East peace process and means of backing it to eliminate obstacles impeding its progress.
Tomorrow German Defense Minister Rudolf Scharping will arrive in Amman for a visit to Jordan during which he will meet with several Jordanian officials to discuss various issues of mutual interest.
