Report: Al-Assad to meet with Arafat at Mubarak's initiative

The Egyptian paper al-Osbo issued in Cairo on Monday said that Syrian President Hafez al-Assad will meet with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in Cairo within the coming days. The Egyptian paper added that the meeting will be made at the initiative of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who seeks to minimize disputes between Syria and the Palestinian government.
