Three Israeli soldiers killed, four wounded in south Lebanon

Three Israeli soldiers were killed and another four were wounded in an operation carried out by the Lebanese resistance in al-Azeyeh position in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Sources of the Lebanese national resistance said its men attacked at close-quarters Israel's al-Azeyeh position while several Israeli soldiers were inside the fortifications of the position.

Further news reports from south Lebanon said this operation was carried out on Monday by the Lebanese resistance forces in the Israeli position of al-Azeyeh deep in the occupied part of south Lebanon. This resulted in the killing of the three Israeli soldiers and the wounding of the other four soldiers, many are seriously wounded.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said a group of resistance fighters got into the surroundings of al-Azeyeh position and ambushed it.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces escalated their attacks on areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

On Monday the Israeli occupation forces shelled quarters in Yahmour town, firing about ten burning phosphoric shells. The shelling covered the eastern suburbs of the town and the suburbs of Kafer Rumman town.

The Israeli raids resulted in closing off Jarjou- Lweizeh road and the isolation of Lweizeh town from al-Tuffah district villages. The besieged inhabitants in the town appealed to civil defense to open their town's road. Moreover, the Israeli warplanes raided a cemetery in Khurbet Suloum down town in south Lebanon.
