Syrian-Israeli experts postpone visits to Washington

AFP reported on Friday that visits scheduled to be held next week to the US by Syrian and Israeli experts to discuss a draft project were postponed. The postponement was made because of the engagements of the US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and the US-ME peace process coordinator in foreign visits.

AFP also quoted the spokesman for the US state department James Rubin as saying that due to dates of next moves, negotiations (Syrian- Israeli- will be eventually postponed, but Rubin added that experts representing the two sides are expected to reach Washington in the near future.
