King Abdullah to receive Barak in Amman next week

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak is scheduled to make a one-day official visit to Jordan, during which he will be received by King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Official Jordanian sources said that King Abdullah's talks with Barak will focus on discussing means of pushing the peace process forward on the Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian tracks in addition to bilateral relations between the two countries.

Sameh Batighi, manager of the Jordanian intelligence and advisor of King Abdullah II headed his country's delegation to the meetings of the high follow-up committee for Jordanian - Israeli relations that were held in the Israeli government's headquarter in Jerusalem last week.

Also Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul al-Illah al-Khatib visited Israel twice during the last week.
