El-Sadek El-Mahdi calls for account the responsible of Sudan's suffering

Former Sudanese Prime Minister El-Sadek El-Mahdi, head of the opposition Ummah Party, called for commencing an investigation into the events in Sudan since 1956 to identify those responsible for the state of deterioration which Sudan has suffered.
In his speech in front of 2,000 Sudanese citizens living in Egypt for the celebration of the anniversary of Khartoum's liberation by Imam Mohammed Ahmed El-Mahdi, in which delegates from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the Egyptian Democratic National Party and the Sudanese opposition parties in Cairo are participating, topped by El-Itehadi among the largest opposition parties after the Ummah party.
El-Mahdi said the collective conference for a comprehensive political solution when convened, our request will be calling to account those responsible for Sudan's crisis, manipulating the general fund, exploiting power and neglecting human rights.
He added that the reason for the fall in his government is that it was holding an ideal of democracy that does not exist in the area yet. He added that if his government had protected itself and prevented freedom it wouldn't have fallen and that tolerance, which opened the way for the major political forces,"is the reason for the situation we are in now."
