New hotels in Syria

Chairman of the international Starwood hotel and resort company for Africa, India and the Middle East, Sami al-Zoughbi, has announced that the company is building two Sheraton hotels in Syria, in Aleppo and Sednaya (near Damascus).
In a press statement al-Zoughbi added that the company had signed the contracts for the two hotels with specialized sides. He stated that thhe Aleppo Sheraton hotel will be opened in two years and will be one of the most remarkable hotels in the Middle East, thanks to Aleppo's historical and archaeological significance and the great interest given to Syria as a tourist destination in the region.
He continued that Sednaya hotel and resort will open its doors in July this year in this city of religious and touristic appeal.
Al-Zoughbi stressed that these two new hotels, in addition to the Damascus Sheraton hotel, mark the beginning of an expansion campaign carried out by his company in Syria, which is rich in tourism attraction elements, as a country which gave humanity its first alphabet, served as the cradle of successive civilizations and possesses numerous archaeological sites which date back several millennia.
