Yemeni opposition accuses Saudi Arabia of seizing a mountain in Yemen

The al-Wahdawi paper, mouthpiece of the opposition Nasserite people's unionist party in Yemen said that the Saudi forces last week controlled a strategic mountain inside the Yemeni territories.
The said paper said that the Saudi forces occupied Jahfan mountain in Hija province in north west Yemen. The paper quoted non- official media and political sources that the occupation of the mountain came following confrontations between the Saudi forces and members of the Yemeni army resulted in killing 9 soldiers and others were reported to be wounded in the Yemeni side. No official confirmation was made by Sanaa on this news.
Al-Wahdawi quoted diplomatic sources that the message sent by the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh and handed over by the Yemeni foreign minister Abdul Qader Bajmal, to King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia aimed at convincing al-Riyadh from this occupied mountains.
A Saudi official source announced that the message dealt with works of the joint committee in charge of border demarcation between the two states.
Diplomatic sources in Sanaa said that tension is prevailing several areas on the joint borders since several weeks.
Since 1995 al-Riyadh and Sanaa are hold talks but did not attain a progress on demarcating their joint borders which extend along 2500 Km.
