Israeli forces renew their aggressions against South Lebanon

The Israeli warplanes on Thursday carried out a new raid against Lebanese targets in Sujoud area, north of the occupied part of South Lebanon.

Lebanese security forces said the Israeli planes dropped several air-to surface missiles against the targeted area and the planes were intercepted by the Lebanese army and resistance forces anti aircraft missiles.

In retaliation, the Lebanese national resistance carried out on Thursday afternoon four operations against the Israeli occupation forces and its pro Lahd militia positions.

In a statement the Lebanese resistance said one of its groups attacked the two positions of al-Salaa and al-Qasir with machine guns and rockets and direct hits were achieved in the two positions ' fortifications.

Another Lebanese national resistance group attacked Israeli military moves at al-Tibeh and Rashaf positions where direct hits were achieved.

In this regard, the Lebanese prime Minister Salim al-Hoss on Thursday condemned the continued Israeli escalation of violating the April Understanding and its bombardment of schools and houses and civil Lebanese targets.

In a statement he made in Beirut on Thursday, al-Hoss said that Israel attacks civilian targets in order to undermine our will and unwavering stand towards Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon, according to UN resolution 425 or Lebanon's joining of the peace negotiations. The Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday violated the April Understanding when it bombarded the residential areas in Kafer Rumman town and the surrounding of the town two intermediate ( preparatory) and secondary schools. The students were besieged by the fires of the bombing and the shells resulting from the bombardment for more than an hour inside their classes. Several students were admitted to the hospital for being hit or in a coma or after being collapsed. The director of the town's state run-hospital said many of the students stayed at the hospital for 24 hours.

Al-Hoss stressed that Lebanon will call on the April Understanding committee for an urgent meeting to study its complaint against Israel over its violation of provisions of the understanding.
