Drinking water authority to invest $190 million in 2000

The Moroccan drinking water authority (ONEP) is planning to invest some $190 million in the course of the year 2000.
The amount, approved by the ONEP administrative board meeting on Wednesday, will be injected in both urban and rural centers.
In the rural world, some 360 villages with a 185,000 strong population, will benefit from this budget.
Out of the amount, $18.2 million will be devoted to sanitation.
ONEP will carry on efforts to improve management, reduce costs, increase productivity and promote research.
