Arab interior ministers' meeting in Algiers; Morocco attends

Moroccan Minister of the Interior Ahmed Midaoui will take part in the 17th meeting of the Arab interior ministers' council hosted by Algiers on January 29 through 31.
The session will focus on cooperation between Arab states, in matters of security and struggle against terrorism and drug trafficking.
The council will adopt the action program of the secretariat general for the year 2000, appoint the heads of the Damascus-based Arab police bureau and the civilians rescue bureau in Casablanca and discuss a number of administrative and financial issues.
The ministerial session was preceded January 24-25 by a meeting of experts.
