EU import certificate on Moroccan tomatoes abrogated
Morocco-European Union, Economics, 1/28/2000
The European Commission abrogated the decision requiring import certificates for Moroccan tomatoes, official EU sources told MAP.
The abrogation, announced on Jan. 17, is effective as of Jan. 27, 2000, the sources said.
The association of Moroccan growers and exporters of fruit and vegetables "APEFEL" responded to the announcement saying the move was predictable, adding the future of bilateral exchange with the European Union has to be "redefined on new grounds."
