Cote d'Ivoire hails action by King Mohammed

Cote d'Ivoire hailed action by King Mohammed VI to make Morocco prosper and carry on the work of his father, the late King Hassan II, foreign relations minister Christophe M'boua said.
The head of Ivorian diplomacy who hosted dinner for visiting ministers of habus and Islamic affairs and Maghreb and Arab and Islamic world affairs said friendship ties between the two countries would evolve into a closer and varied cooperation with the implementation of agreements passed during Prime Minister Youssoufi's June visit.
M'boua praised the Moroccan community for its active role in the Ivorian economy, saying its entrepreneurial drive fits perfectly well in the Ivorian social environment. Everything will be done to provide security and stability for aliens living in the country, he added.
In the Dec. 24th events, Moroccan shops and businesses in downtown Abidjan were looted, and damage caused was estimated to exceed $5 million.
Ministers M'daghri and Znined met Wednesday President Robert Guei and handed him a message of friendship and support from King Mohammed VI.
