$84 million Arab loan for Tunisia

The board of directors of the Arab Fund for Social and Economic Development affiliated to Kuwait agreed to grant Tunisia a loan of $84 million (28 million Kuwaiti dinars) to contribute to financing El Kabir and Mole Dam in southern Tunisia.
The loan aims at supporting the steps toward economic reform currently being taken by the Tunisian government through basic infrastructure projects, especially in the areas deprived of these services.
The loan will be paid back in 40 years, including an allowance period, with an easy interest that does not exceed 6%.
