Algerian army terminates 49 terrorists

The combing operations launched by the Algerian army for elements of the Ahwal battalion's elements headed by Selim El Afghani in the heights located among Tiaret, Tissemsilt and Glizan provinces increased resulting in 49 killed persons in addition to arresting 22 others.
The Algerian newspaper El Khabar said yesterday that these operations will last for weeks, referring that the army will use heavy equipment, choppers and parachute forces, especially as some soldiers were killed and injured in an explosion of a land mine, planted by this group intensively.
