Parliamentary committee assures the Egyptian people's unity
Egypt, Politics, 1/28/2000

The education, scientific research and youths committee in the Egyptian Shura Council praised the government's treatment of what happened in Al-Kosheh and demanded for no blame to be placed on anyone until the results of the investigation which is currently taking place are declared to punish those who caused these events. The committee, under the chairmanship of Mahmud Mahfuz, said the incident was a clash between two persons and that it had nothing to do with anyone's belief.

Members of the committee emphasized in its meeting the importance of cooperation between Christian and Moslem men of religion on overcoming any rumors.
