Establishing an Egyptian - Norwegian business council

Egyptian Economy Minister Yousef Boutros Ghali and Lars Sponheim, the Norwegian minister of trade, industry and natural resources, announced the establishment of an Egyptian - Norwegian business council to meet periodically to invigorate the cooperation ties between the two countries.
This came in a joint press conference held last night by Ghali and Sponheim at the conclusion of the Norweigan official's three-day visit to Egypt.
Sponheim said the delegation of businessmen accompanying him during his visit to Egypt held communications with numerous Egyptian businessmen, with whom they discussed establishing joint investment projects in multiple fields, especially in the fields of gas and petroleum.
Sponheim said focusing on these projects comes out of the gas and petroleum discoveries which Egypt has recently witnessed in the Mediterranean Sea basin.
