Morocco elected head of APU legal committee
Morocco-Morocco, Judicial, 1/27/2000
The first deputy-speaker of the house of representatives, Abdelaziz Alaoui Hafidi, was unanimously elected Wednesday chairman of the legal committee of the Arab Parliamentary Union (APU) at the union seat in Damascus. The election is a tribute to Morocco's action within the union and efforts to foster the unity of Arab states and uphold their legitimate causes, the APU secretariat general said.
The committee is looking into amendments to the charter and internal regulations of the union.
