Ivorian president gets royal message
Morocco-Cote D'Ivoire, Politics, 1/27/2000
Ivorian President Gen. Robert Guei was handed Wednesday a message from King Mohammed VI by a visiting Moroccan ministerial delegation.
After the meeting, Gen. Guei told MAP discussions with ministers of habus and Islamic affairs Abdelkebir Alaoui Mdaghri and Maghreb, Arab and Islamic world affairs Abdeslam Znined centered on bilateral cooperation and changes in Cote d'Ivoire.
The visiting delegation met earlier with Foreign Minister Christophe M'boua who voiced thanks to the sovereign for dispatching to Abidjan such a high-level party at a very difficult time for Cote d'Ivoire.
The visit, Mdaghri said, is a token of support, friendship and brotherly ties by King Mohammed VI, who grants a special importance to relations between the two countries.
The Moroccan minister recalled Prime Minister Youssoufi's visit to Abidjan in June, saying relations were excellent and likely to improve through implementation of bilateral agreements passed during Youssoufi's visit.
