Egyptian,Chinese civilization linked
Egypt-China, Culture, 1/27/2000

Kawthar Abd El-Reheim, wife of the Egyptian Ambassador in China, holds an exhibition of her artistic activity in Chinese Plastic Art Gallery.

The exhibition comprises 50 oil paintings that vary in its topics and materials. Kawther marked the celebration of the anniversary of the Great Chinese Wall in her paintings and seized the opportunity to join the Egyptian, Chinese civilizations together through her artistic vision.

Kawthar is a distinguished and talented artist. Her artistic career passes through several stages. She started with impressionist drawings portraying women's social activities. Woman suffering was the core of her inspiration in this stage. Then, symbolic impressionists governed her works in that she uses ancient pharonic symbols as the source of her inspiration. Thirdly, Chinese culture and civilization especially the concepts of eternity, continuity and change had an effect on her work. Change in her paintings take place tenderly in the way the River Nile flows within the valley.
